customerjon asked: i love spin calsses. do you set up your spin bike any diffrently the your road or tri bike?<<
I don't know which brand of spin bikes the club has, but I'd say the set up is most like my road bike. I can't get it anywhere near my tri bike set up, which is pretty aggressive.
The class is a 10-week session and is done by pro triathlete and coach Michael McCormack and builds over the 10 weeks, each session building up to a race (Wildflower, Half Vineman) or winter conditioning. He uses heart rate monitors and there are lots of different intervals and drills. The whole class is triathletes or cyclists only and there's none of the usual health club spin junk. It's once a week and pretty high intensity, but a great class.
I've done spinning at other gyms and didn't like the ones done by non-triathletes/cyclists at all. Too many jumps and running and urging people to spin at 200 rpms.
