Anybody have any experience with these?

yeah, that sounds like a very good deal. I think Hed bought the patent off Specialised, and haven't changed the design since. So if they're in good condition they'll be as good as the H3. Congrats! I'm actually looking for a front H3 [700c] if anyone's selling one?

Heck yes, that's a good deal, even if the bearings need replacing. The worst thing I ever did was sell my Tri-spokes last spring, having moved to a 650 TT bike. Now I'm back to 700 for all my bikes and wish I had them back. Its gonna cost me to replace them. FWIW, I'm fairly certain Hed has done some very minor tweaking of the design to lighten it a bit, but the basic wheel remains the same as the set you have. Happy riding. Those are some rock solid wheels.

With SPecialized, you had basically two generations of these wheels. The first generation had the smooth blackfinish (as in not able to see the carbon weave), and were pretty heavy. The second generation (which I have) you can see the weave, and are fairly light.

I've used them for MANY TTs and multi-sports (including some very windy conditions), and found them to be bulletproof and fast.
