2020 National Masters Champion - M50-54 - 50m Butterfly

Indianapolis: Great Tri community with races, ZIPP, Roarke custom Ti cycles, awesome tri shops like Carmel cycling and fitness, free training rides with roadies and triathletes, intervals and bricks, track workouts, masters swimming, you name it.

But, the city is still finding it's identity and it's growing. Hard to ride a bike in the suburbs around the beltway (where most of us live unfortunately).

Sorry for the commentary...it's something I think about a lot.

50%: Live (and swim and ride) in Connecticut; work (and run) in Midtown NYC; and summer weekends (e.g., with attendant long rides and long runs) are spent on Nantucket.

The other 50%: road warrior in US and Europe. Have developed a certain expertise at convincing hotel security officers to open hotel pools very early in the AM.

Do you happen to know the Tuckers? Your schedule sounds somewhat like theirs...Martha's Vineyard, Connecticut, and then France instead of NYC. And then training! And hes a doc =)

Nope - tho' am in France a fair amount, as we have a Paris office.

And, while I am/was a surgeon, left clinical medicine ages ago, so not connected with the local medical community. The migration eastward from the New York metro area to the Islands is massive, as I am reminded every summer Sunday while creeping along I-95 in my car at a speed that seems slower than my marathon pace!

And where in Massachusetts? We moved to CT from Sudbury - did many of my long runs along 27 down into Natick...

there are no less than 5 within 30min driving of my house.

Ironbear, Wild Bear, Lobsterman, Colby Sprint, CELT Sprint and a Xterra qualifer.
