My experience is that trail running shoes are even more individualistic than road running. Everything about the build of the Peregrine says it will be a worthy shoe to run in. Personally I had a Grand Canyon assault in October. Leading into it I had my Nike Tera Kiger from last year I used in a 50K, A Saucony Exodus, Nike Wildhorse, Hoka EVO Speedgoat and Hoka Speedgoat 4. I eliminated the Wildhorse and Exodus after just a few runs. Both were not great fitting on my feet. I ran in the EVO for a friend’s birthday (51K) and they were fine but I ended up choosing the Speedgoat 4 because of all the steep downhills at the Grand Canyon.

I’m not suggesting you go with 4 shoes to find one. If the Peregrine looks good to you and you have good experience in other Saucony shoes it’s probably going to be fine.

My friend has them and totally satisfied, but as guy above said it's a pretty individualistic thing. I really love triatlon, but I have other hobbies too and one of them is gambling. First time I tried it when my friend sent me casino bonus codes https://bonuscode-casinos.com/ and I saw how easy it is to win money online. All you need is just to pick the casino you like and start to play.

The Peregrine was my go-to trail shoe for many years, since it was first launched. Probably bought almost every revision. I go through 3-4 pairs of trail shoes a year and probably owned at least a dozen pairs of the Peregrine. So when the revision 10 was launched I expected a continuation of the great fit and trail feel I'd always known from this shoe. Unfortunately Saucony did a major revision with the 10 and it's lost (for me) all it's redeeming characteristics. Tried everything fit-wise to make them work for me but eventually gave up.

From current experience I'd suggest trying the Hoka Torrent, Hoka Speedgoat, or Brooks Cascadia. I've also heard good things about the Nike Wildhorse and Asics Fujitribuco, although I've not personally tried either.

Lots of choices. Great reviews on YouTube to help in your search - try Seth De Moor's channel for tons great running shoe reviews.

Just ran a 50k in them last weekend. Only had 20 miles on them prior.
2” of snow and muddy. Great grip. Shoe is a little stiff compared to a normal running shoe.
My feet came out fine.

I ran my first ultra (70k) with the peregrine 5. Less mud, no Sand but lots of roots, no problems. I also run with a dynafit (to tight) and a salewa shoe (destroyed after 1,5 year). Last year I bought the peregrine 8and that's my trail shoe for every scenario. If I would run more in the alps I would also look for la sportiv, if more mud inov-8. I don't consider Salomon because they were always to tight for my feet.

Thanks for all of the input folks! Holy smokes there are so many options once you start looking around. I THINK I've narrowed it down to the Saucony Peregrine 10 ST or Hoka One Speedgoat 4

My current road shoe is the Saucony brand and I'm one to try to stick with brand loyalty but I've seen more and more folks using different shoes for different terrain.

Thanks again all! Happy New Year !!

I purchased a pair of the Peregrine 10s this summer to hike Mt Saint Helens, backpack, and trail run. Really like them and would buy again.
