Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo
Any ST'ers know of any good triathlon, bike, or run groups in the SB to SLO area? Looking to shake up my training, meet some new people, and have a good group of people to grab beers with after a hard workout!

I don't have any social media, so I am sure I miss out on all the happenings.

Nite Moves (SB) starts May 1. That is a fun weekly swim and run.

Running Warehouse (SLO) has regular runs that were getting pretty sizeable groups, but I'm out on injury so I haven't run in a long time. I don't know the latest mojo on that group.

SLDC has a trail running group that I've gone out with, but again... injured so I don't know how the group is doing lately.

K-Man seems to have some pretty good group rides in A-Town.

SLO Dolphins meet in Avila on Sunday for 1-2 mile ocean swims. That is my latest jam. No club to join or fees to pay. Just people swimming.

SLO RoadRunners run 3x a week (again, injured).

There is a gal who has been doing master swim at Cuesta College that looks interesting. Endurance Cubed? She does coaching so I don't know if the rides are for her athletes only.

SLO Bike Club is always a mix of interesting.

Cal Poly has a masters swim team if you want to chase the feet of college kids. Probably 30% non-kids.

If you pop into any of the trail runs, century rides, or ocean swims in any of the areas on the Central Coast you meet pretty much everybody after 3-4 events.

Honestly... I haven't found much of a "scene" up here in SLO Town. Then again, I don't try particularly hard to do so...

Good luck!

Hilary, thanks! That is a pretty comprehensive list. I will have to start looking into a few of these groups.

http://www.bicicorsa.com/rides/index.html has a listing of group rides in the Santa Barbara area. There is also Monday Night TT (https://www.mondaynighttimetrial.com/) starting in March, and weekly Wednesday night crit practices in Goleta starting when the time changes.
