Rotor 3D Crankset Lockring Question
ST,
I have emailed Quarq for an answer, but I wanted to know if anyone of you had any experience with the following...

The lockring that holds the spider on the Rotor 3D crank broke. Have any of you used an old-skool bottom bracket lockring on these or do you know if they will fit?

I have no issue ordering one from Quarq/Rotor, but if I could find a steel lockring, it will likely be more durable.

Record10Carbon? Thanks.

What if the Hokey Pokey is what it is all about?

Yes but it fits on the back of the crank to hold the spider. I was just thinking it would be stronger and relatively easier to find.

You mean this one - I would give a steel one a shot, the bitch is going to be finding one. You can find one at any bike shop in the old bin of greasy parts that no one ever through away.

They dont list the ID or the thread pitch - or direction. I bet however that you can get one from a shop - just like in the first reply.

surely a broken lockring is a warranty issue. why risk voiding the whole crank's warranty with an aftermarket lockring which may or may not be more durable?
those things don't need a lot of durability. the cannondale spider lockring doesn't look robust at all and works fine.
