Ron Aerox disc with 28mm Tyres?
For those with the Ron Wheels Aeron rear disc.

Anyone running a 28mm tyre?

I currently run the PZero TLR SL 26mm but wonder if I would benefit from running the 28mm version.

I see Ron say it supports 23-25mm but also state:
“However, it is also possible to use tyres 28mm”

I presume it’s not optimal due to the internal rim width of 18mm?

How is the profile once fully inflated?

Regards, Richard

Me and anyone who still has the stock GP5k on their Canyon Speedmax are running 28mm tires on the back. Perfectly fine for 19mm-inner wheels. Ballooning tires have far less effect on aero in the rear.

I run Speedmax with 25 front and 25/28 rear. Totally fine with 28mm rear, the aero penalty is marginal. Btw. check newest GTN video on Daniel Baekkegard’s bike. He rides a 28mm tire with the disc.

Do you say the same about 25mm GP4k and Corsa Speed? The 28mm GP5k is pretty much the same size as those.

Don’t be silly, those would disintegrate in a heartbeat if used for cyclocross or alt-tris

Sounded like you're saying 28mm are too big for road. Yet they're the same size as previous generation 25mm tires.
