Road Biking Routes in New Hampshire?
I'll be visiting family in Barrington, NH and in Rochester, NH. Any recommendations for good road biking routes? I'm willing to throw the bike on the back of the car and drive a bit as well.

Thanks.

Parker/Catamount is a good loop out of barrington.

shorter loops around bow lake and down to great bay are also an option.

If you're planning on doing a long ride, it would be worth it to go up and do a loop around Lake Winnipesaukee.

Depends on when the visit is. Motorcycle week starts this weekend and about the last thing I'd want to do anytime during that week is ride a loop around Winnipesaukee.

Thank you for the recommendations. For the Parker Mountain Road recommendation, can you let me know what you suggest in terms of good starting/ending points that are safe / less traffic? Thank you.

If you are not looking to ride directly from Barrington there is a Hannafords supermarket in Northwood right on Rt4 that would make for a good start/stop point and the ride would be best done on the earlier side.

Good idea. What would be the route you’d recommend if I left From Hannaford? Thank you again for your help!

Route 4 to Rt 202 left on Rt 202a
Left on Rt 126 at T intersection
Left on Rt 28 left on Rt 107
Left on Rt 4 and back to Hannafords.

Fantastic. Thank you. How long of a route is that? Also, I heard 202 is pretty hairy with traffic, no?

202 can be a bit dodgy but there's good shoulder on the 1/2 mile you ate actually on for this route.
Got a mileage is around 50 miles.
