Wool wicks better than most synthetics. Heck, Palo Alto Bicycles makes a woolie for their shop.

I rode in wool back in the 70s' and early 80's

no thanks I'll stick to synthetic. I don't know how you wash your stuff but mine passes my wife's smell test.[ it could reek and I wouldn't notice, just ask her about my running shoes] :-)
