Riding in Pigeon Forge, TN
I'll be visiting Pigeon Forge, TN and I'm thinking of taking the bike. Looking for a route that's low traffic (espeically important since with the holiday weekend I'm guessing the roads will be packed). Hills and climbing are fine and even encouraged. Need something in the 1-2 hour range to keep peace with the traveling family. Saw this route on MapMyRide:

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated!

I'm in Knoxville and don't ride in Pigeon forge but did a organized ride there last year, English mountain challenge. http://www.englishmountainchallenge.com/ There are cue sheets for 26 to 100 miles. If you need maps, motionbased should have plenty of data on this ride, here's one http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/2995577

If you would want to drive maybe 30-45 minutes, you could make it over and ride the foothills parkway. A very nice ride.

I'm sure there will be plenty of traffic everywhere! Good Luck.

I was recently in Pigeon Forge for Spring Break. I did some riding on SR 416 east of the Parkway. That seemed like a nice cycling route--low to medium traffic, some nice hills and good road conditions.

However, I didn't do a lot of riding in the area and I'm not a local by any means, so hopefully you'll get more responses!
