Recommendations for Fit in DC

Can anyone recommend a great fitter for the Washington DC area (within 100mi)?

I have been racing all distances (sprint-140.6) on a solid road bike, but I have saved up all of my pennies to finally purchase a tri bike. I would like to be properly fit beforehand and need a little help with a location/individual for this.

Thanks in advance!

there is one place you can always refer to, worldwide, as a starting point, our list of bike fitters. but 2 that come to mind, that i know i can recommend in the greater DC area are Doug Baumgarten and Tyler Coquelin.

Chris Richardson at Bike Doctor Waldorf
Stu Waring at Parvilla Cycle and Multisport

I've used them both and can recommend them without reservation.

Dave Luscan is based in Richmond but also conducts fit sessions out of M3 in Vienna. Highly recommend.

Dave Luscan - worth the trip.

I've heard good things about Stu Waring, but I don't know him personally. I just know he's been around bike fit a long time and takes it seriously.

Would certainly recommend Stu Waring at Parvilla Cycles (just outside Annapolis). Give him a call/email to discuss your needs.

Another for Dave Luscan. 43 now and my fit is longer, lower, and more comfortable than it’s ever been. I didn’t know before him that all 3 of those things could happen simultaneously despite many fits over the years.

Two more votes for Dave Luscan from me and my wife - great fitter, worth the trip (and he is less than 100 miles from DC).
