The Pro Race bike only comes in that one color but comes with 6 sticker kit colors - pictures will be updated on the web by Friday but the bikes on the floor already have all of the sticker kits in the box. The 2014 stickers are super easy to apply and remove and are dual finish - satin black edges to flow into the satin carbon and gloss coloring. From 10 feet away you can't see the decal.

Orange, Pink, White, Blue, Hyper (green), and Red this year

It's a special type of paint. Few more pics...

This is just the base coat, the whole frame won't stay like this although it does look pretty awesome!

Matt, does the 2013 Shiv Comp seatpost reverse around for a more forward position or do I need to get another seat post? I currently have it set up with the angle towards the rear.

Hi,
Is there going to be an adapter kit available to allow a transition to use the magura brakes? If so, what is the part number?

Thanks!

Shiv Seatpost Screw frame insert issues [ In reply to ]
Hi Mark,
The Shiv is at the top of my list for 2014 but just read the other ST thread regarding failure of the seatpost screw insert that is bonded into the frame. I’m a bit concerned on the suggested fix of epoxying the piece back into the frame since that doesn’t seem to hold based on the posts in the other thread.
Has there been any updates to the frame in this area to strengthen the bond?
Anyone else have issues?
Thanks for your time here on this thread…..great info!

It does reverse.

There is also a post we offer aftermarket that is a 37.5mm offset in case the 12.5mm doesnt work for you.

This has been remedied in product with a complete design change to this area. This went into affect starting January 2013. The challenges many are still experiencing are from bikes made before this time. As with all of our frames, we offer a lifetime warranty so while there have been some challenges, no question, all of our riders are fully supported and taken care of.

Best,

Mark

I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want!!!!

I would so love that color. I'd do it up in the Mclaren F1 paint scheme. That would be t*ts!!

But only to US customers. Specialized had no problem taking my money and selling me a Shiv. But selling me aftermarket components, like the carbon aerobar or the 37.5mm seatpost, that's impossible all of a sudden. Specialized Germany can't get them, Specialized USA doesn't sell them internationally. Way to go.

On my 2012 frame, I am not sure if newer years have it, but I have two holes for small screws on the left side on the bottom of the rear. What are these for?
