Are there any discounts available on bestbikesplit premium membership for people on TP subscriptions at all? Keen to play with BBS but the $119 is a little offputting!

We are starting to rev things up with TrainingPeaks now that we are in the Boulder area. BBS and TP are remaining two separate brands, but we are looking at several integration points that we are very excited about. The free version gives quite a bit to play with (we are also adding some new free features to help fine tune your drag settings very soon). More specifically to your question Rodney is getting some info on the promotional front, while we put on our dev hats and go full steam ahead.

let me suggest one easy, in metrics add fat%, now water and muscle% can be logged but not fat %, also resting heart rate can´t be logged too

Body Fat % (called Percent Fat) is a metric as is resting HR (called Pulse), more info here - http://peaksware.uservoice.com/...t-as-a-metric-in-app

I've been using the 920xt since xmas (thanks wife) and have noticed, especially lately, that maybe half of my workouts actually make it into training peaks from garmin connect. And sometimes they show up a day or two after I have completed the workouts. Any ideas why, and any fixes?

Garmin Connect has had a variety of issues over the past few weeks. With Garmin Sync it is GC that is sending the file to TP (or MFP or....). There have been delays based on load on the Garmin servers and then outages don't speed things up :(

Strange that Myfitnesspal and Strava have had no issues the last while.......

My *favourite* was when Trainingpeaks blamed and AWS outage for downtime *before* they moved to AWS.

ddave.. that's a good one. are you referring to how we've stored data files in Amazon for some 5 years before we converted all our web apps to AWS some 2 years ago? Indeed, quite possibly an AWS outage did cause us downtime before we were actually fully hosted there.

What exactly caused your issues I do not know.
What I do know is that there was a period of 2-3 days with regular outages, complete outages. AWS was blamed.
A few months later a huge deal about moving to AWS was made. I chuckled.

Rodney - whats going on with TP? I let my long subscription lapse as I felt the beta wasn't ready to go live and was missing huge features. I had intended on resubscribing when the feature set caught up with what it was, and maybe even caught up with the dashboarding of Garmin Connect and Strava. but it doesn't look like anything is happening? Or at least at a non-glacial rate.

Is there a road map for when TP will meet feature equivalence with the older version?

I haven't logged into Strava in a while but I don't know what dashboarding GC has that TP doesn't.

What features did you find were missing? I recall chatting about this before but I can't find the post. I do know a few things have been added (although it might be hard to find in the release notes)

I would go through and find locations again and send on screen shots but the normal version of TP has none of the features enabled to check whats missing.
Hence me relying on release notes for updates on progress - of which there appears to be little to be honest.

On the dashboarding again the normal version is totally crippled so cannot do screen shots but its worth checking out Garmin Connect dashboarding capabilities as TP was so so far behind the competition.

I use GC quite a bit, it looks different but I don't see any killer features that aren't common on all platforms (in either version of GC)

The big ones I remember as missing in the early beta were nutrition (MFP sync now), equipment tracking (added), Power Profile chart (added) and ATP. ATP shows up for an athlete but coach still creates it in the classic.

You have to be more specific that "it's crippled" :)

Rodney--does the TP store still sell libraries? I remember in the past being able to sell/purchase sets of workouts, etc. But now it seems I can only find plans. I didn't know if the libraries were simply converted to plan or if they fell into a black hole with the conversion. Thanks.

Meal libraries were dropped (very few actually used them) and strength libraries are now plans http://home.trainingpeaks.com/...plans/other/strength

Thanks. That is what I found. I am just in the process of cleaning up my libraries and when I am in classic it still gives me the option to sell that particular library. I seem to recall that feature in the past and a few coaches like Gordo offered their libraries for free. But all I could find were plans for sale

Is it possible to get monthly or yearly volume either as a graph or a table in training peaks. I can't seem to find that option anywhere.

Yes, in the Dashboard add the Fitness Summary chart and then edit the options for the chart and select the date range (custom or one of the many ready to go options) and then select the report type (planned, completed, etc...). This will give you a pie chart with the overall volume of all activities. If you hover over any area it will give you details for that activity type.

Alternatively you can use Distance or Duration by Week/Day charts to make a bar graph for individual activities and just edit the date range.
