There were a few times that I was scared to be in the aero bars with all the potholes.

the bar mount and straw are from another hydration system. the extended tubing is from the local hardware store. yeah i know....it isn't food grade. then i just popped the nipple out of the bottle. a piece of tube with an OD just a touch smaller than the nipple hole keeps it pretty snug there. i also worked up tubing to draw from both bottles. so for long training rides from home i can have the two frame mounted, and the Jetstream, and who needs Dairy Mart along the way?

now if i could just get the angle right to everyone's satisfaction.

Train hard...race well.

Wow, that paint looks great! I don't normally like custom paint because it tends to be tacky, but yours looks very factory. Nice job!

Here's a picture taken a few years ago. Everything is the same save the wheels. The wheels are now a Zipp disc and a Hed Jet90 for racing.

Hey Fleck, I thought aluminum bikes were only good for 4 years? Better get rid of that thing before it falls apart under you ; )

Gotta trot mine out again; I like these threads too. :) All three of these bikes (well, framesets in the case of the road bikes) came from right here on the ST Classifieds.

Time Trial/Tri rig:

This is the training/rain/crit/whatever bike:

And this is the new "bling" road bike that I'm scared to race on because it's so pretty!

Hot damn - I just BOUGHT that bike! An 06 Soloist, right? Right now I've got it in roadie mode. Can you give me a heads up on what it was like to make it an aero rig. Debating to aero it for race season, or keep using my Softride. Would appre. your help.

My kilo from before people know what a real aero frame is... but hey, it's got a chain, wheels, and puts me in a good position. pedals are currently on my road bike

Very nice. Under the right rider, it'll go very fast.

Sometimes I think there's more aluminum in the front end of races than the back.
