I spoke with a Roka rep at Lifetime Chicago. Long sleeved top is confirmed, debuting at Kona. They’ve tested it in the San Diego low speed wind tunnel. No word on results other than “fast”.

Looks like the exact same fabric and cut as the Cuore Gold Jersey and Cuore 2n1 Tri Speed suit. I’m wondering if they are contracting that for them.

I certain Ero birdie told me they will be coming out with a full line up of wearables; tops/ bottoms/ suits/ shoes. They want to go beyond just a wetsuit company, not unlike Zoot’s evolution over the years.

Gwen was testing a sleeved suit when she went to the specialized tunnel. ~6 months or so ago.

That will be awesome. Hopefully they make a sleeved suit that is fast for most people. Their website hints toward new stuff coming.

over the past couple years, we’ve had very strong demand from our athletes and customers to do more. we’ve got a number of projects underway across categories, including some very advanced r&d projects that require significant investment and lead time. we’re pushing hard with our available resources and literally are breaking some factories’ mold tooling right now trying to get some products to market quickly.

re: gwen, yep we’ve been working with her for over a year on a variety of race kits. gwen is meticulous with her gear and very demanding on fit, in a good way. she has tested, raced and won in at least a half dozen variants that we’ve built in-house. it’s been super helpful on the development side to have that kind of engagement and partnership. looking ahead, we’re already working hard on her and Javi’s kits for Rio and are excited to launch some killer products that lead on fit and function for both drafting and non-drafting athletes.

over the next few months, we’ll introduce just a bit of what’s to come. stay tuned.
