Question for P3 owners
Sorry if this has been answered before, but what behind-the-seat bottle mounts work with this seat post?

Also would like to know if you have your computer pick-ups mounted on the front fork. I want to put them on the back but the manual to my Polar 720i says it has to be closer... any tips or links to help?

Thanks in advance!!!

Andy

Minoura and saddlewing have both worked on mine, and I've had a specialised wirelss transmitter on the fork that worked well.

I've got Polar speed (on the fork) and cadence on a P2k and it works fine.

I also have a minoura behind the seat bottle holder. It works fine although it is tough to get my spare parts bag smashed in under the saddle between the seat post and minoura.

Where did you put your Polar wireless cadence sensor on the P2K? I tried the chainstay but the receiver could not pick up the signal. I am thinking I will need to use the downtube.

my wife (p3) and I (p2k) are both using the flatwing. I don't like the weight or high position of the saddlewing. we were discouraged from trying the minoura based on a high number of returns at a local shop. I keep my repair kit in a water bottle instead of trying to strap it all on.

my wife is using a wired computer, sensor on the fork. I'm using a polar 710. speed on the fork, cadence on the left chainstay. I've got the cadence sensor bumped up to full power (DIY instructions on the web somewhere I think you can find a link by searching this forum) but I never pick up the signal. It's been temp sensative in the past, so I'm waiting for warmer weather before I give up. I don't want it mounted on the downtube.

Downtube is the only place I tried. On my last bike it was the only place I could get it to work.

Ah, that's why you need the "modified minoura", not the standard one. Endurosport offers a modified version, and it works very well.

Just curious, what is modified about it Gerard? I went to the Endurosports website and it looked exactly like every other Minoura I've ever seen.

Thanks,

It is my understanding that they reqork the bracket which is normally the part that goes bust. But they would be able to tell you better than I would. Or maybe they stopped providing this service, I don't know. All I know is that I bought a modified Minoura there.
