Question for Bunnyman...
Sir Bunnyman,

I read one of your posts where you talk about the Tiso Bartol System. Maybe you can help answer some of my questions about it. Is the shifting mechanism machined into the large chainring? When the large chainring wears out, does one have to purchase a whole new Bartol system? Also, how much does it cost?

I went to the Tiso and Cycling Innovations website and gathered information I could about the Bartol System. I also emailed them but have not received a reply yet. I was hoping you might be able to help answer some of my questions.

Thanks for any help you can spare,

E-Z

I love the hopping bunnies. That's cool.

You are entirely correct about needing to replace the entire Bartol system when the chainring wears out, as the shift "mechanism" (a series of ramps, pins, and bolts) IS in the chainring. xxcycle.com in France has these if you can't get a response, and they do cater to the U.S. market. I think they run about $130-$170. I got mine from Dane at Cat Carbon bikes (a.k.a. Natascha's bike builder) at a premium.
