Question about bike pacing for Olympic Tri
Quote | Reply
Hey guys, I was just wondering if it is better to maintain the same power zone for the entire 40km effort (based on your own personal zones) or if I should start a little slower and increase effort in the last 20km? I assume maintaining a steady effort is best recommended but I just wanted to ask. Thanks

Fair enough haha. I have been doing a good few 40km time trial efforts as part of my training. Trying to not go completely full gas though as I figure the run will be sluggish if I do. Plan on pickIng up some time on the run but I guess it’s a trade off between the two.

It's a short race. Don't overthink it.
