Pros who has yet to KQ for M/F
Can only find the list of those who have already qualified for Kona, but cannot find a list of those who have not.

I know Frankfurt is next week which is the last regional qualifier? After that it is mainly IM's with 1 spot for both M/F?

Who are the contenders that still have yet to qualify?

All the ones not on the list that have qualified?

Given the "contenders" are a matter of opinion - every-ones list will be different.

Potts, T.O. and A.B. have all qualified, so its going to be a great event.

Those are the qualifiers up to IM Boulder - every other pro still has to qualify, notable absentees:

Lionel Sanders
Brent McMahon
Andy Raelert
Josh Amberger
Rachel Joyce (still racing?)

We could add:
James Cunnama
Ivan Rana
Igor Amorelli
Joe Skipper
Victor Del Corral

Ann Haug
Sarah True
Anja Ippach
Carrie Lester
Angela Naeth
Helle Fredrickson
*** It Appears there will be 14 more men's spots and 12 women's spot between now and the last KQ race @ MT, Denmark, Sweden

These athletes have all featured at a certain level be it top 10 in Kona or floating around top 10

Ironman is no fun without him. I can’t wait to see him qualified.

Agreed, really hoping he can get back out soon. Been following his recovery journey. Can't help but wonder if the whole plant-based thing is holding him back. The nutrients just aren't as bioavaliable as animal sources.

I can't help but think that a lot of top women are really missing out, seeing those names listed.. It looks like most of the main men are in but women on the other hand

Hey man, if peer-reviewed scientific literature constitutes pink text for you, that's your business. No need to edit my post though.

I’ve been rooting for Anja Ippach but somehow she couldn’t get it. She’s been leading the bike a lot but never wins.

Good point on skipper!

Haug still has to race though, currently injured I believe, so still work to do.

Correct, 3 of last year top 10. I believe Sarah is racing Frankfurt, Haug may be injured, Naeth has an injury (plus battling chronic illness) Carrie Lester is racing in Nice or Austria possibly.

I doubt we'll see Naeth in Kona this year, by the time the hardware on her wrist is gone, there won't be that much time to get a slot... I'm not sure how close Lionel is to coming back either, I think he too might be running into a time issue after he's back to racing where he'll likely only have one shot at a slot...

Haug can just mail in a race and get across the line to validate, so I'm less worried about her injury preventing her from getting in, unless it prevents her from racing altogether...

He went back to plant based diet again?

Seems like he's trying to move towards it as much as possible. He posts about it in Instagram and has mentioned it on YouTube. I am a bit behind, though, so maybe he's since changed it up.

Frodeno's hip stress fracture also occurred suspiciously after his switch to plant based.

Then again, Lange has been vegetarian since 2010 and is obviously crushing it, so who knows?
