Proposal: Cyclist Standard Time (CST) - Sunset/Sunrise based time system
Quote | Reply
Now that most clocks are gps/cell/wifi connected, I propose a new time standard that does away with time zones (don't worry, your Outlook calendar can do the meeting-time calculation for you) and do away with daylights savings:

=if (sunrise > 6am, sunset = 8pm, sunrise = 6am)

if sunrise is greater than 6am, the time is set so that sunset occurs at 8pm. Otherwise, that is if sunrise is less than or equal to 6am, the time is set so that sunrise occurs at 6am (which means sunset will be after 8pm most places).

This way, sunset is always 8pm or later. This is not made for early birds; it is made for those who want to get out of work and ride for 2+ hours, and have some sun hit their face after work and before bed, which will decrease rates of seasonal depression, increase psychological resources and thus decrease job-related burnout, .... and maybe decrease the rate people post about Lionel Sanders (just want to make sure this post pops up when sanders is searched for #LionelFatigue depleting my psych resources)
