Just curious.
I've seen it mentioned a few times, and experienced it myself. If I'm pushing it pretty hard over a multi-week period and do a workout with a LT-pace effort, my HR may peak at 10 beats lower than expected.
What exactly is going on here? I would have thought that being tired would elevate HR for a given intensity.
And even though I can finish the workout without undue stress (based on PE), is that wise? It's certainly a sign that I'm stressing my body but as long as I can do the workout and recover, and stay healthy, all is good?

Note to self: increase training load.
