From watching their other videos they are very careful about getting K/Q OM's clean and documenting it.

My wife has me hooked on their videos.

Looks like Heather attempted it also and finished 5min off Paula's pace.

We watch them too. I agree they ride clean on the attempts. It's makes Sundays release pretty exciting.

Is the Lemmon segment generally considered invalid if you have people in a group?

dunno specifically. but it wasn't windy in phoenix (usually this is reflected across southern AZ), but lemmon can be "special."

i personally feel like a group effort makes an effort like Lemmon less "studly."

Looking at Strava Flybys HJ and Paula rode together for a few miles at the beginning of the segment and then HJ fell off the pace.

As far as working together, we set it up as a head to head race/simultaneous attempt. Both wanted to go for it, so might as well do the same day and if they went separate there’d be no way I could film the whole thing. Hope you’re all staying healthy and all watch Sunday :)

100% yes. The battery died so quickly becuase 1) the gravel tires max at 30psi 2) I was riding it on MAX mode the whole first 10 miles, surging ahead of the ladies, dropping back, catching up, etc.

If I just used it on the lower power setting and put out 300-350w of my own power.. it’d make it the whole way no problem.
