Ha, that's funny. And possibly true.

If the day and weather are right, tough to pick against Fabian with Boonen's absence and Thor having no form. Lost in FC's Flanders win was how strong his team was to put him in position. That was a big missing element in the past.

Cancellara. He will need his team to be strong and on the ball again.

My outside choice is Barbie.

Can't believe the size of cobbles they ride over. Awesome.

Is Andy Schleck racing it?

Cancellara is purposely crashing to make it a fair fight. Hard to bet against Spartacus this time around.

It will be fun to see Fabian here. He's in great form this season. But I'm really interested in Taylor Phinney. He may not make it on the podium, but perhaps he'll get another strong finish like last year.

Stijn Devolder is back, this will be his race! He'll attack early in Wallers - others will wait for Cancellara who won't have to ride because he has Devolder up front. Same way he won Flanders twice.

Blanco has to prove something also. I think Tjalingi will be their guy, he'll be in that same group with Stijn Devolder whereas Lars Boom and Sep Vanmarcke will be caught up in the Cancellara group.

Completely agree with you on Phinney. I am hoping he has a great race.

BMC has been quite absent in the cobble classics so far. Couple guys like Phinney and Hushovd had a good start to the season but have been missing in action the last couple weeks.

Andreas Klier? surely no one will let van Summeren go up the road again

on a more serious note, i'd like to see lil Phinney do well, too

A photo-finish sprint between A. Schleck and J. Rodgriguez. Failing that, its seems to be Spartacus' race to lose. Would love to see Van Summeren, Haussler or Hushovd etc have a good day though.

Very hard not to call it for Sparticus. He is the man.

Did I miss why Peter the Douche is not on the start list? He would have been on my list of contenders and I'd like to see Fabian drop the hammer on him again (and then make out with the podium girl)

Basically his DS said he'd done enough for now, needed a break and then will ride the Ardennes races I think. Or something like that.

Indeed. Always hoping for those guys to have a good race.

I would like to see Stybar have a great race. What is the weather forecast?

Also, will more than one Euskaltel rider make it to the finish?

NBC is airing this at 8:30 am
but I am still going to watch the live feed from British eurosport at 7am

Cancellara is a marked man, if the team is still in tact with 30-40k to go, he will power for the win

The Arenberg will separate the favorites from the rest of the field
Winning move will be made in final cobbles here:
No. 5: 234km, Camphin-en-Pévèle (1.8km)
No. 4: 236.5km, Carrefour de l’Arbre (2.1km)

Plus anyone with a bad mechanic will have to work hard to make it back

My top 3
Cancellara
Devolder
Phinney

Outside favorites
Sylvain Chavanel (Omega), Sébastien Turgot (Europcar) and Jurgen Roelandts (Lotto)

Similar to everybody else... I think FC is hands down the strongest rider and favorite.

But I'd love to see Phinney podium, or even win. And I think he can.

Yea, only one of those guys is actually on Garmin. Haussler is on IAM and Thor is on BMC now.

edit: Matt Hayman is my dark horse - picking a chalk podium is no fun.
