Art's thread on hill climbing reminded me that I'm planning on riding Palomar next Saturday. I thought I'd post to see if anyone in the San Diego area aould be interested in coming along. I haven't planned a specific route yet and am open to suggestions. At the least, I was thinking of leaving from Rancho Bernardo or Kit Carson Park, swinging by Lake Wohlford, then on up to Palomar. (Then it's either double back or continue East down 76/79/78 near Julian and Ramona.) I'm shooting for a total ride time of about 5 hours. Since the ride has plenty of hills, I don't expect the pace to be crazy. Besides, I'll probably be bringing up the rear on most of the climbs as I drag my 200 pound carcass up the mountain.
