Paint Removal On A Carbon Fork
I am thinking about repainting my bike. What is the best way to remove the paint off of a carbon fork?

Is sanding the paint down safe?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Yes, you can use a light sand paper to take off the paint. I would suggest wet sanding and being very careful.

No solvents and make sure that the residue is the colour of the paint or white. If you see black, stop sanding IMMEDIATELY.

Who's doing the repainting? If not you, I'd leave the decision up to them. They may only need the current paint "roughed up," or they may need it stripped to the carbon. In this world of high-tech materials and paint, it's best to leave prep decisions up to the experts.
