Today I had my 1st real swim in my Pflex. I really like the suit, but I thought I would pass on a little intel. To back up what Tom said, this is a very warm suit. Very warm. Very little water gets inside this suit, probably one reason it is so warm. This can be considered a good or a bad thing. I'm usually the guy who likes the water as warm as possible as I have a tendency to get really cold, so I liked the idea of a warmer suit.
The surf today was cold enough for my feet and hands to get a little numb after about 25 minutes, but my torso was almost too hot. I'm actually wondering what it's going to be like swimming in this suit in 75 degree water. I certainly can't imagine doing 2.4 in water as warm as that.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the suit, it fits like a glove, but if you're the type who gets warm in a wetsuit, I would definitely try this suit in the water before purchasing.
Tom, I'd be interested in hearing what your thoughts are after using it in NZ.
