POSE Update

I've been using the POSE technique for 2 weeks now. The painful soreness in my calves has gone away. I developed some blisters on my toes just in front of the balls of my feet and they are now healing. I think I will lose the toenails on my big toes. The good news is that the average pace of my long runs is faster. Almost all of my training runs are faster too. One route that I had never previously done faster than 49:30, I did in 48:35 Tuesday then 46:55 on Thursday. The few times I've slipped into my old technique I definitely notice how much pounding there is. It's amazing I was able to run with all the pounding I was taking. I think I may still have a good shot at reaching my marathon goal. The only new problem is some tightness in one of my Achilles and I think some additional stretching will take care of it.

Thanks to whoever suggested I try this. I'll post another update in a few weeks.
