Re: PKRS.AI - Anybody using this? [alexne]

Yes, I used it for a while last year for a few months (then stopped it as I took a break from Tri).
Pretty cool initially, having a call with Leanda Cave to discuss training requirements (not sure if they do that anymore).
Discussion was like you’d have with a normal coaching service - eg, time commitments, races coming up, injuries, motivations etc.
Then a plan is loaded into your schedule. You can send them a message anytime and they’ll tweak it for you.
There was a daily check in, where you get asked a series of automated questions (then it adapts your days training based on your answer).
I believe it asks you pre and post training questions too.
As a service I definitely recommend. They have a team of specialist (coaching, strength, nutrition, yoga etc) and you can fire them messages anytime and they’ll give you advice.
When I was using it, it was early days for the app and I joined at a reduced rate as a tester.
I would definitely join again, as I believe the platform has had some upgrades since then.

Interested too, anyone else? Some more detailed feedback would be interesting, like has it helped you manage recovery better etc? The overall added value of the AI thing?
I’d be worried I would get fed up with answering questions all the time...

Hey, I can only speak from my experience of course but I've been pretty satisfied with PKRS. I picked it up maybe half a year ago after I decided I wanted to see if I could do an ironman. I honestly had no idea what I was getting into and what exactly I needed to do, but PKRS helped a lot. The AI is pretty cool and a neat grab, but my favorite party is the coaches. With covid and all, it's much harder to find personal coaches that are willing to meet face to face. The app set me up with three coaches and I felt like each of them was looking out for me. They gave me the motivation I needed when I was slacking.
