P2K Braking Issue
Any and all P2K owners.

I'm considering a mod to my bike. I am either going to put Ultegra pads on the existing brakes or upgrade the whole shebang to Ultegra brakesets. Reason being that this bike simply doesn't brake as well as my Ultegra equipped Trek. It's spongy.

Anyone made similar changes? What results have you seen?

Thanks, Chris

Haven't noticed the standard P2K brakes to be a problem but Ultegra is definately an upgrade.

Again, wondering the difference between Ultegra pads on the DiaCompe brakes or just new Ultegra set. I have definitely found that the current brake setup has less stopping power and response on descents....I live in NoCal and the only way I get a ride that isn't hilly as hell is to drive out to Stockton and ride there.

Cervelo braking actually isn't a problem until next month as I don't need brakes on the Computrainer :)

The newer brake arches are a lot stiffer than our old model, so presuming that is what you are noticing, changing the pads will not give you the change you're looking for.
