I should say I have not KQ'd, but know some folks that have, and it seems the general theme is as follows
1. Cook your own food 2. Lots of fruit and veg 3. Enough carbs to fuel your workouts 4. Don't ignore fat and protein 5. Ignore the rules every once in a while, this is supposed to be fun sometimes
No more than 3 adult beverages the night before an A race.
It also helps to have done consistent training for at least several years, and then nail pacing, execution, nutrition & hydration, clothing, and transitions. float , hammer , and jog
