So I picked up an older QR Tequilo frameset to build up with spare parts. Serial number KU 7I6452, one of the 90's all black with white lettering types (Kilo and Tequilo look almost identical). Any idea of the seatpost diameter I need? 25.4 is too small and I used a 2.54 to 27.0 shim but that is just a touch too wide. Caliper reading LOOKS like 27.0 but I haven't seen a seatpost diameter between those two sizes?
Any vintage QR knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

I have a '92 steel QR Superform and the seatpost is 27.2. I would be very surprised if the aluminum ones were anything different, esp. smaller
Definitely smaller than 27.2, no question about it. I have an 88 Superform and checked this against that and it has a smaller diameter. Makes no sense to me!
26.8 was quite popular among ATB's of that era; possibly that's the right size, then
who was in charge back then?! what a dumb thing to do! i honestly don't remember. i was pretty sure we were using just 27.2mm throughout during that era. but i may be wrong.
