I wonder what the drag is like on that first picture? Although I'm sure the dress slows her down a bit...

I LOVE the white frame/black wheelset scheme. I have the same color scheme on my 2 bikes... A white p2k and a white classic steel Bianchi for the road. I'd love to have my p2k frame solid white like yours. I'm droolin here...

is that an optical illusion or is your front wheel the same size as the rear? I thought that the hooker elite was a funny bike.

Looks great. I'm sure it wouldn't slow any of us down.

That is a Hooker Cat 1, not the elite tt bike. It was designed to be used as a tt or mass start bike. Still has all the cool design features of the tt bike. Is it a 54cm? (Hookers size?)- If you get sick of it, let me know- would buy it.

Nice. How better to spend ones money than on a Hooker? Is that the original fork? It looks pretty sleek as well.

You should order some of this stuff and polish up that seatpost:

Anyway, nice bike - if it's a 54, I'd be interested in buying it.

It has an internal wedge that is drawn up from above via a long allen bolt. Some people had problems with their seatpost slipping or creaking, but I never had such issues (thanks, in part, to the liberal application of grease).

With as many offers as you have gotten to purchase this fine looking bike, maybe you should have posted in the classfieds?

Great looking bike.

Hooker (as are the seatpost and fork...the only piece that Paulo seems to be missing is their proprietary stem).

That is cool.. you didn't want to change the brake levers out for something sleeker though? They do give it that "euro pro setup" look. :-)

I want to know what the whole setup weighs, and what wheels those are.

I'm pretty sure the rear is a Corima. The front is an old HED that he traded for a bean burrito and half a can of Cytomax.

First off, I just want to say that this is not the definite build, but I did have the parts to build a complete bike, so I went ahead and did it.

OK, so here are some answers to your questions.

- The frame was black, but it got a new paint job.

- The bare frame weighs a little under 1.8kg. And this is without the original Hooker fork, which is would make a nice paper weight. Still one of the fastest forks alive though ;-)

- Yes, the yellow saddle doesn't look good at all, I'm changing it to an all black Flite.

- Brake levers have to go as well, but like someone said, it does give it a euro-tt look :-)

- Seat post is showing marks of a troubled life, and some marks would need a lot of polishing. This is the best I could get using already used fine sandpaper.

I'll just end by saying that everytime I'm away from the bike I think I'll sell it, but one look at it makes me want to keep it. The rear triangle, the seatpost, the brakes... real cool and unique stuff :-)
