Live feed is up, and it is already much better than IMFL. Great views of the swim!

Shall we start bitching about drafting on the bike yet?

;-)

No - you are good...

It seems one of the people has a bad mic (I think PNF).

Agreed the video looks good...

I didn't think PNF was announcing this race...

You may very well be correct - I was guessing.

One of the women is definitely Chrissie Wellington - kinda cool...

Yeah, it's Chrissie Wellington, Heather Gollnick, and Greg Welch. I wonder how far out on the course the aerial coverage will go. It's tough with such a staggered start.

Here we go again...last week, you start the IMFLA thread and it was the biggest entertainment value I had on a weekend in China....today, Clearwater and I am sitting in a hotel room outside Tokyo airport that is barely bigger than the bed that I will sleep on, but thanks to the internet, I can watch triathlon everywhere. This is very cool.

Years ago, I used to call the 1-800 number to the Kona surf resort which used to serve as the Kona T2 to see who the leaders were into T2 at and the girl at the reception would literally go out the front door, and find out if Zach or Wolfgang Dietrich had come in or if PNF entered T2 with a sub 5 hour bike split. Then I would call back 5 minutes later and get the update and call all my buddies to deliver the news (this was before we all had internet at home.....circa 1992)....now we can watch all these races live from anywhere....its come a long way baby!!!

Yeah, as much as we complain about the coverage, it is truly amazing what we can watch through our computers.

It is giving me some motivation watching this, as it is my goal for 2008. Exciting!

Wow, Crowie's only 0:37 down from Potts. I thought Andy would have built a bigger lead into T1.

Yeah, I did Oceanside this year and I was in a late wave. I was totally blown away by his lead coming into T1 there. It was HUGE!

perhaps he saved himself a bit, since the there is a benefit riding with the lead "pack" on the bike...

It's also my goal for '08. Hopefully, we'll both get there!

I wonder how Chrissie will do commentating. I don't think she know much about the folks racing.

You don't need any motivation. Next time you are in a hospital look at all the people that would kill to do what you can do with your body. Then go out and do it...because you never know how long you have your good health...I know it sounds morbid, but for all of us, the end is a crash, a tumor or an aneurysm away....so just go out and train girl!!! My personal perspective is my sister who had an aneurysm at 24, and after brain surgury made a full come back and now has three children, hit her 40th birthday, and has three graduate degrees including a doctorate :-) She also got inspired by my sorry ass and actually ran a 10K as part of a tri relay this year at the age of 40! So no excuses :-)

That's awesome!

It's not that I lost motivation, my personal life just took a crapper this week and I've been pretty upset. I'll snap out of it. I plan at least a 3 hour day today.

:-)

Looked like someone just flatted! I couldn't tell if it was a male or female, but someone pulled over, so either a flat or a drafting penalty...

Damn- I didn't see it.

Are there penalty stand down tents at Clearwater?

Course looks fun!

there were last year. i assume there will be tents again this year.

what i saw was a bike pull over toward the grass and a moto stop just in front. couldn't tell if it was media or race official though...
