OT: Favorite Beer
As a counter to a post about those who feel that alcohol is unnecessary (Which I do not dispute since everyone is entitled to their opinion and how they want to live their life), I would like to know what people's favorite beer(s) is?

There is a bar down the street that has over 50 beers on tap...it is fabulous to try them all.

My current favorite is the Starr Hill 'The Love' by Hefewiezen...quite good.

Pabst Blue Ribbon. Hey, it won the blue ribbon, how can you argue with that?

Now that I know some of you guys look through the special needs bags for kicks, I'm gonna put some really weird stuff in mine. I can see it now. "What the heck was he going to do with a family pack of KFC chicken, a football helmet full of peanut butter, a 12 inch rubber dildo, and naked pictures of Bea Arthur?"

Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest is always good in the fall.

My local pub has cider that comes in a big black bottle with a "K" on the front. Not only is it good, the bottle is about 30 ounces.

From a medium size production perspective hands down it's Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

For small breweries. MINE. I have a 15 gallon home brewery that has been turning out fine ales and lagers for 12 years running.

Cheers,

I tried some Frenchy Canadian beer that was pure heaven but can't recall the name so I will stick with Shiner Bock or Fat Tire.

Guiness is the most wonderful stufff ever but it is impossible to find in this area of Texas. Even in Dallas i know onnly a few bars that can properly draw one.

If I am buying some beer to share with buddies I go with the Miller High Life.

The worst is Coors Light!!!

High Life, but I'm biased. I work at Miller Brewing Company. Lite, when I want a "light" beer.

I also like Lienenkugels beers (creamy dark my favorite). Guiness is my backup of choice.

Props to KC for the Pilsner Urquell reference. The original golden beer, and downright delicious.

Let's hear it for the two Wisconsin beers: Leine's and New Glarus. I'm a big fan of all things Leinenkuegels (sp?), not a big fan of New Glarus, only because I went to high school at rival Belleville. My wife and I also like Sprecher Black Bavarian out of Monroe.

You should move to Guam. Bud Light, beer of the islands.
