OBED GVR Rear dropout bolt
I believe I am missing a nut to hold my derailleur hangar in place on the drive side of my OBED GVR.
My Derailleur hanger is loose when the wheel is not in place and the threads on the outside of the hanger insert are visible.

Anyone know what part I am looking for here? I am struggling to find what I am looking for online and all the shops near me are closed today/ obed support is not in right now.

Thank you, didn't see that.

Just sent a message to obed to see if there is a different nut I can use in the meantime while I wait.
But, being it's a holiday weekend can't imagine I'll hear soon so hoping someone on here knows a substitute I can get quickly

Try this

chris.brown@americanbicyclegroup.com

Great guy. I’ve sold many Obed to peeps through him. He usually answers the emails off hours.

Good luck.

Hey Jimmy, just catching this. Yeah, that nut is a beast; one of our other athletes had the same issue; traveled to a race, packed the bike into the car, out of the car at the trailhead, back into car, got home... and that piece grew legs and walked away.... or bounced out of the bed of his truck and is sitting in a trailhead parking lot along the Colorado Front Range.

He actually hit the local Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, and after a bit of searching, found one that worked: M16 nut, fine pitch. Give that a crack in the meantime. Bring in your rd hanger if you can as well, that helps things along.

THNAK YOU JAY!

That works perfectly! Much, much appreciated, this will certainly solve my issue int he short term while I get the proper nut.

I do however feel like a jackass for having lost the nut, but thanks for making me know I am not alone lol

Glad to help, and glad you're operational while a proper replacement comes in! Ay, we move around with our bikes, so it's not uncommon; things get lost. Or damaged. I'm starting to get back into the realm of just pre-ordering these small parts, like spare rear derailleur hangers, thru axle sets, etc. just to have a spare of on hand. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Glad you're rolling!
