I am interested in knowing if anyone here has tried the SkiCrosser

I haven't, and at that price it doesn't seem likely. It's a small jump from a Concept Ski Erg, but at 5x the price.

Well, it certainly is costly, but not as costly as a high end bike.

Its not at all like the C2 SkiErg which does not simulate the leg motion of XC skiing.

the main problem will be ingraining of bad "kick" habits from that motion.

the main kick for classic is DOWN, then back.

why many folks dont do a ton of classic rollerski kick and glide - only DP or kick DP a bit.

Can you clarify?

Do you mean that the SkiCrosser does a poor job of simulating XC skiing?

Or did you mean that the motion of XC skiing in itself is not a good cross training motion, and if so, why?

The only training that helps develop a good kick in classic, is to actually practice kicking on snow. Anything else ingrains poor technique.

I don't think that can be said in absolute, I finally learned decent kick technique at a roller skiing camp, but it was from hands on coaching, and being corrected when I screwed up.
