yeah I was afraid of that kind of price... have to wait for a 30% off sale..even then it's pricey. It sure is purty.

I've got some old transition bags from Ogio I'm going to sell and then buy this. I've been waiting for a Roka transition bag for over a year. I like the backpack design.

So, it's a backpack for your 5-gallon bucket?

Same here. So even with a sale, around $200...I guess if you can spend $12k on a bike, you can spend $200 on a backpack...but Brian D, I would think you would pick up a sale De Soto for sub $100 and use your savings for that upgraded tri bike!!

Meh, DeSoto stuff doesn't interest me.

275 for a bag that you’re going to throw in a bunch of clothes and gear that you’ve pissed on?

Damn that’s expensive. I have a Ogio Endurance 9.0 I got for $100. Even it’s overkill.

Last two years I’ve moved to a string backpack for warmer weather Olympic and sprints. Loving that even more.

Only use the transition bag for colder races that are wetsuit legal to carry wetsuit and hold warm clothes after taking them off. Or long distance where I might have more nutrition, etc.

But $275?!? Ridiculous.

Hard pass.

Ogio quality is much better. Second only to Tumi’s ballistic nylon bags. I’m sure this one is middle of the pack. Especially since they’re concentrating on sunglasses.

But if you do get it, take it to Kona now and you can be LS sherpa and use it to carry all of his Gatorade.

I've got a basement full of backpacks from races over the years--they work just fine. Stuff it full & cart it to the race. I actually still have the Speedo backpack from '99 ITU World's in Montreal, Quebec & it just won't die (super solid pack)...no reason for me to really buy any backpacks probably for another 10 years at this rate. To each his own I guess...at least it looks nice, hopefully it'll be durable for $275.

That's about USD50

(note : I don't have one but would be nice to have... still a bit pricey for me at local currency)

I got the fancy Desoto one (I think they sell directly through amazon), its a bit of a splurge but is really nice if you do a lot of racing and have long hikes from parking to registration and transition.
