Very elegant. Neat. The downtube and front remind me of the P4 in narrowness. Would've thought a hidden rim-brake version would be the clean P4-successor we've been waiting for all these years.

and with none of the "influencers" jumping down our throats telling us how to feel about this bike, I'd go for it too...

Yup yup, TT UCI oriented bike! Like it.

I guess that their "fully integrated" proposition will be the PX-Series and the P-Series will be UCI compliant.

I kinda liked how my current P5 has a bento integrated behind the stem and hidden... not seeing how you could do that with the new P5

Jim do you reckon there's more reach with the new P5? I was always reach challenged on my current P5 and had to do some hacks to get where I needed to go.

I understand that the needed reach is probably not even possible under UCI rules, and if they made a UCI compliant bike they probably weren't worried about edge cases like aero triathletes who are tall.

Oh gawd, I hope not.

No, it's about the aero bar design. Cleverly hidden in those photos.

Agreed. Unless the stem is slammed as shown in pic —like the new S5–aesthetics and perhaps the practicability you mention will suffer

TT config, apparently for Dumoulin.

Thanks for the great spy shot!!!

And THANKS GOD!!!
Finally a bike that doesn´t look like shit (P5X, Shiv Disc, Ceepo, Omnia, Ventum)

As interesting as I found to have a bike that doesn´t meet the UCI regulations as much am I disappointed with the solutions.
The bike is so important for the athlete why would any company think that we would like to ride their ugly monsters (@specialized)

Why would you need a different stem if the monopost design allows arm stack to be set almost whichever height you want?
And it looks like the monopost could slide through the stem in/out of the fork as necessary without the trimming you need, for instance, in Tririg's Alpha One case.

With reach, it's the standard set of problems, not different from any other manufacturer.

I don’t think you would “need” one. Then a bento would be sticking up in the air. I’m not an aero expert but I always assumed a bento behind the stem is hidden well but with a slammed stem is creating additional drag

Found another, apparently older pic ;)

Edit: regarding bento, behind monopost style aerobars (as seen in first pic) it might be drag neutral. We'll probably see soon enough.

What is the price difference between this and a P2 with tririg mono bar and the difference in drag?

My guess is around 12-14k that seems to be the ball park now for top of the line.

I don't know, but it would seem nuts to have Enve make a mono-post bar for the P5x, and someone else make one for the P5.

I thought HED was doing the carbon work for the P5X?

HED does the frame. Enve does the fork and bar.
