Now this is interesting to me. To heck with all the $10,000+ (or $21,000 for the new shiv) superbikes being released right now...

Looks similar to PR5 with standard front end, frame shape looks same, has the Shift technology it seems...basically a PR3 with discs? Then why call it PR4?

I'm struggling to understand the diff between this and the PR3?

In comparing the specs on the site, it literally looks like they copied and pasted the PR3 except changed the tires...

The Pinarello Bolide TR+ was just released, looks good! Maybe lacking a bit of storage for tubes and co2 assuming that's hydration on down/seattube?

Looks like a new colourway for the 2019 Speedmax CF SLX (grabbed from Canyon's social media:

The PR3 doesn’t have that big chainstay on the non-drive side vs. the PR4 does based on the 1 picture... other than that...

Yes I think it is a new paint for the SLX. I also heard that there might be some cockpit adjustments. The bar might be quite narrow for the 2019 model.

That’s a very classy color scheme on the Plasma. I’ve always liked that bike.

Because it has the beefier stay from the PR5/PR6 plus the disc brakes. It pulls the 105 group onto the better frame.

That's a fucking steal.

Contacted Canyon on the topic of the supposed new cockpit, because I basically just ordered a SLX, and they said nothing has changed for the tri version. The only thing that has changed is the TT version

I'm in the same boat. I'm afraid what they told you simply isn't true. The new versions are already for sale with new pictures and a completely different model base bar. Basebar config fis as follows:

Speedmax CF SLX 9.0 TT = CANYON CANYON H33 CF AERO
New Speedmax CF SLX = CANYON HB48 BASEBAR CF FLAT
Old Speedmax CF SLX = CANYON H26 CF BASEBAR

Is the drastically reduced frontal area and more aero leading edge (compared to a round tire) not redeeming?
