Move from P3 to P3 II
I had my 35 mls maiden voyage on my new P3 II (2019) that I was building up during the summer. I am switching from a P3 of 2011.

Very happy. I will have to do some adjustments to the aerobar to get more comfortable, but I am amazed how steady and smoothly the bike goes. It feels rock solid on my old wheels (Zipp Firecrest 808 of 2012).

I am using a 1x12 set up with 50 / 10-33 and 165 mm cranks and this seems just fine for inclines up to 10% (the max I have tested yet). I am a bit surprised how noisy the drivetrain is in the first three gears, though.

Thanks for all the great advice and information I was able to retrieve from this forum! This is a great place.

I am very much looking forward to setting up and racing this bike!

How have you been able to use 12 speed cassette on that older wheel?

Zipp sells a xdr body for the disc wheel, the body fits the 11sp compatible 188 hub (mine is converted to 11 sp).

They do not recommend its use on spoke wheels, so at your own risk.

Here is the discussion about this:

I am building a p3 right now with axs. I decided to try the 10-36 cassette as that was really close to the 36-28 I had before.

I am building with alpha one + gamma cover so hopefully it will look clean.
