I am training for IMUSA this summer. I have a couple of 1/2's under my belt and multiple oly and sprints. I come from a marathon background. What is the general feel of Mega's? ( seach slowtwitch if you are not familiar.)

I think they are a good idea as long as you don't do too many. When I was getting ready for my first ironman in 1999 I did a 4k steady swim, followed by 160km bike followed by a 16 mile run just to see where my body was at in preparation. I didn't go very hard and did it about 7 weeks prior. I think you need big days in preparation of a really big/hard day.
