Low gear noise when climbing
If any mechanics can help me out here I would appreciate it.I have a 2014 Cervelo R3 Ultegra with a 34 11 cassette and when I’m climbing short punchy climbs out of the saddle in the lowest gear I get a noise as if it’s coming from the spokes on my rear wheel catching .
If I drop it down 1 gear the noise goes away .
I’m not sure if a tweak is needed to the indexing or I need to lose 5 Kilos .

If it sounds like the spikes are hitting the derailleur, believe it and stop and check /adjust the L limit screw on the RD before you destroy your RD, wheel, frame, or all 3.

You may want to check to see if there is a spacer on there. I had a similar issue with a 34 that I didn’t put it in and cassette wouldn’t get tight enough. Only noticed in smaller gears.

Only with the 34 did I need a spacer.

Someone may correct me but the 34 I believe is from the mountain bike range so needs a spacer.

It’s been fine for 2-3 years not sure why it’s happening now .I noticed that the hanger was extremely loose when I was cleaning it .Would that be a factor ?

Just checked and it’s rubbing on the inside of the upper jockey wheels .

Derailleur hanger can be bent, also. You can replace it or use a tool to check / straighten it if that's the case.

This.
Check your hanger is straight and then re-check your low limit screw.
