Longmont Colorado Pool/Run advise?
I've been travelling to Longmont regularly with work over the last few years and just ran local to the hotel while there for the week. Back there next week and again in July and would like to expand options so, i am looking for:

recommendations for a visitor friendly pool in the Longmont area, preferably one that opens early?

any suggestions on runs close to the Dry Creek Drive/Diagonal Highway area? don't mind driving to a trail and running from there, i've done all the blocks around the hotel a ton of times

thanks in advance!!

Have you been out by Lagerman Reservoir? I think that has a nice long trail going through the farm lands in the area. I've been on it with my gravel bike.

I think the loop around the reservoir is only a little over a mile, but the trail I'm talking about is across the street and about five and a half miles.

I'd also use Strava and check your fly bys. That's how I've learned the area since moving out here.

There's more trails in that area between Hygiene and Niwot.

The run around the boulder Rez is great (although a little drive from Longmont). Also some trails at white rock trailhead in gun barrel.

One General tip and One Specific.

1. If you weren't already aware (or for others who arent).
When seaching an area in maps.google.com you can click the menu and choose the "cycling" overlay which will highlight multi-use paths and roads with cycling lanes. This is very helpful in areas you are unfamiliar with.

2. From that area, if you head south you can intersect the LOBO (Longmont to Boulder) trail. This roughly parallels the Diagonal Highway (119). You can head either Northeast or Southwest from where you'd intersect it (Hover). From the LOBO you can brand into other systems and run essentially endless miles on dirt (e.g. to the very western edge of Boulder by going LOBO southwest, taking the connector through the Res. to Boulder Valley Ranch and then the connect under 36 to Foothills trail).
