I survived the monsoon in Placid and have earned a Kona slot :)

Does anyone have suggestions on lodging for Kona for 8 couples and 1 baby - preferably a house or condo with kitchen and laundry facilities and also close to most of the action (without necessarily being right in the middle of all the action)? I've put through a request to the "official" travel agency for WTC but have not heard anything back. I've also seen Dan's writeup from August 2000 on 'Kona-Where to Stay' but want to expand my list of choices.
