Looks really good! Not sure I like the blue color, but the front end looks clean

It looks a lot like the Look aero bike. I think this aesthetic change is a huge improvement over the last iteration.

I wonder if the V stem allows for tri bars.

Unfortunately, this altready made me do a hard stop on buying the Ultegra version of the S5 (the blue one shown in pic). It appears to be the same blue as the 2019 P2, just less of it. Nonetheless, I’m not a fan. But, still eyeing that S5 black frameset. Seems like tomorrow’s anticipated announcement may be further postponed...

Not sure but There’s a rumor that the bar allows for Cervélo proprietary clip ons.

I am a little worried as the stem/handlebars seem to scream “recall”!!

They’ll have to do a 140(+) for the Pro Tour, so that would be slammed. :D
Possibly under mounting the bars...

Slick looking bike but the propriety stem (presumably not 31.8) is a non-starter for me.

You can see mounting points on top and under the bars. I would imagine that the have a low rise stem as well. You could also mount aero bars to that same location.

Nothing, although the rise of the stem in the pics is just a visual, emphasized by the fact, that the stem-steerer tube interface is basically "flat". Overall stack to top of bars remains equal as if an ordinary -7deg stem had been used, as far as I've heard, and lengths from 90 to 130mm will be available.

With tight clearance between the down tube and front tire it looks like it won’t accommodate a particularly large tire. Kinda different compared to the Cannondale and Madone that handle tires in the 28-30 range. Maybe they see it as a putt road bike whereas you could imagine gravel riding the Cannondale with a 28-30 mm tire.

Wait 'til you see the new P5. 3 guesses what it has on it. ;-)

It's actually pretty cool on the front end (speaking of P5), though I would assume it's going to eat into P5X sales significantly.

To be honest...Cervelo basically "lost me" after Gerard, Damon, and Phil all left. To me, they stopped being the vanguard of engineering focused bicycle development and have basically become "me too" producers seemingly focused on the latest "trends".

Oh well...

I guess you didn't catch where I wrote "To me...", huh?

That's usually a good indicator that a personal opinion is to follow ;-)

Yes I did. I’m quite sure everyone else reading this post also fails to see any reference to “to me”;) Anyway...I’m excited about the new S5 and find it too be what we expect from them

Sorry. I thought you were replying to my last post, not that one. My fault for not clicking on the "in reply to" link.

Anyway, the idea espoused by "Simply.Faster" at the time was finding the best balance of simplicity (and ease of installation/maintenance) along with what actually makes the bike faster.

Arguably, there are simpler, and faster, directions than what they took with that bike (as much as I can tell from these leaked shots, anyway). Hence, my comment...

Overall, it's an improvement on the old P5 front end. Certainly more adjustment. I actually don't know the pad stack and reach numbers, but I think they may be improved.

Interesting, I don’t know the origins or intended meaning of Simply. Faster....you very well may be right or it is also may be intentionally ambiguous to let each user decide...I always interpreted it to mean “unquestionably faster”. I’m not an engineer but from a layman’s perspective I never found their designs “simple” in the true sense of the word..I found them to be next level fast pushing the limits and industry through innovation. I think the new S5 appears to do just that again.
