OMG yes. I was watching live as I was crossing the border from US into Canada and lost service about 40 seconds after he pulled out his banana. I spent the rest of the day wondering if it was really his banana.

I absolutely love this.

I watched it live and noticed the bulge too but didn't make the connection with the banana ..

I rewatched it yesterday and honestly, made my day watching him pull the banana then the coke out.

I loved how he was so emotional and happy about winning and he inspires me ... to stuff supper and morning tea into my gear while racing. Who needs gels when you can eat a hamburger instead?? ;)

I think Patrick may have had half the kitchen cupboard down the front of his suit - bananas, bottles, cups, sponges... his suit is like a magician's hat, I thought a rabbit may have been pulled out next.

But seriously, Just confirming above, as per Talbot cox's Kona previews, the bottle would have been his own nutrition and he does have a special pouch tailored into the front of his suit for it.
