I really wanted to do my long New Year's workout as 10x1000 or 20x500 becasue I thought it would go quicker. Like what you did there.

First time doing 100 x 100....we did it on 1:30 no stops or breaks. I must say, it was literally easy for the first 60-70 with the lax interval...but the last 20-30 were death (I mean the wheels just came right off). I just got super tired and it was a struggle just to get down the lane. Never in danger of missing the interval just a real mental feat more than anything.

Oh F-off Ho bag....lol....it's all relative. ;)

I was also second in the group for the first half and that made a HUGE difference. When I stuck my nose out front the water felt like molasses!

Not be a jerk here, but I agree that 100 x 100 on 1:30 in long course is pretty easy for the first 60-70 expecially if you are going 2nd...

Oh for him I know it was easy. I wish I could swim like that. Let me go third and I could have maybe made 40, certainly not 100.

For the record, that wouldn't be easy for me though I could do it (and it would be easy for others on this board)...

First time doing 100 x 100.....
Yards or meters? I did a slow interval this time, but would've liked a little faster. The perils of a group.

Feeling surprisingly good today, given yesterday. That gives me hope more than anything.
Main set of 4x400 descend, last one in 4:37 scy. Not awesome, but OK considering...

Well, I finally hit the wall today and did not feel very good at all, but guess not surprising given around 60,000 yd in previous 7 days. So today was relatively easy.

Wed 01.02.2013

2 x 500 free/pull
8 x 100 kick, 2 x IMO on :12r
8 x 100 IM kick w/o board on :12r
2 x 200 back kick w/ Zoomers
2 x 200 back w/ paddles
2 x 200 free pull
2 x 200 IM swim
200 breast kick
6 x 100 breast on :12r
200 IM
200 free pull

5400 SCY, then 4.5 mi run on treadmill. First TM run since 2010 as all 2011 runs were outside.

Swam yesterday, among other things.
Run - 9.3 mi w/ 10k 43:03
Swim - 4000 yds (See below) --- really needed some CHO before this but didn't have any and it resulted in slow splits.
Went to visit a friend for the day and xc skiied 45 min. with him, then a 2 hr hike. It was cold!!! My ankles are sore today because the boots didn't fit that well, but I'm sure they'll recover.

Swim sets:
300 w/u
8 x 125 kick the last length
10 x 100 on 1:45
5 x 200 on 3:30 desc (2:47, 2:45, 2:43, 2:41, 2:45)
4 x 100 alt easy swim, kick by 100
300 c/d

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.
