I came here to write something to this effect, but you captured my thoughts exactly.

IDK, maybe? Probably not Hahaha

A lot of love has gone into this bike, and the position on it.

2017 Felt IA10 frameset

2018 calpac 2.0 and rear draft box.

Upgraded to the felt dagger stem to get longer and lower

Felt bayonet bar to get lower and minimize frontal area, streamlining it close to the top tube line

Hed jet 9+ front wheel, Hed jet disc rear w/powertap hub

Cobb short arm cranks

Vision 55/42 aero chainrings

Squirt pre-waxed KMC chain

Speedplay Zero Aero pedal system

Cobb max seat.

Tririg Omega X front brake, TRP direct mount BB read brake

TRP aero brake levers

Bounce back and forth between GP4000sii tires and Vittoris Corsa Speed depending on road quality and length of race, with latex tubes and some sealant.

Still running my old 10 speed mechanical groupset though, as I prefer mechanical, and one less gear hasn't gotten in my way.

Only a tiny bit of cable going from the bars into the calpac, and they're all hidden from wind anyways, other than the little bit from the front brake up to the bars.

Working on feeding that one through the stem.

BTA I use for long distance races is the Profile Design HC ( not pictured ) attached with zip ties, then electrical tape over that.

Wahoo ELEMNT bolt with the bar mount zip toed at the cap of the bottle for perfect position in my sightline, but the entire system shielded from the wind by my arms, essentially filling the gap between my arms rather well.

Throwing a gorilla cage on the back of the seat in the next couple days for ease of throwing a bottle in there race day.

Last 2 weeks on a ( just under ) 10 mile time trial, with my BTA on, Local Pro Trevor Wurtele put 30 seconds into me in the time trial despite putting out 60+ more watts. That said, my power meter is at the hub, his is at the crank, so a few of those watts will be lost to the drivetrain.

Both running wax based systems so equally trying to minimize losses there.

Not a chance mine is front page worthy. However, it was random tourist in Denmark worthy so that made me feel a bit special.

but I'm too lazy to actually clean anything more than the drivetrain.
Do you take submissions with sweat, sports drink and snot all over it?

i kindof agree - i don't necessarily care whether its a low-end bike or a top-end super bike. i can get all the hot pics of standard top-end super bikes i want just from manufacturer websites let alone the rest of the web.
to me, the ST front page should be reserved for bikes that have excellent setup for whatever purpose or rider needs. examples of clever problem resolutions that the rest of us can pick and choose from based on our situation and needs. the article should detail what the problem/need was and how the bike solves that problem. it might be an ingenious hydration system, a setup for unusual geometry, specific wheel or component choices, whatever.
not necessarily always unusual things though, there is a place for showing orthodox setups that just nail everything - especially for the main brands which a lot of us ride

I would like to suggest to Herbert and the editors another angle.

I don't care about bikes or superbikes (it is not a surprise, but I think I am actually in the majority of triathlete, maybe not on ST, but if you want to expand your market and viewership think about what all triathletes care about). To be fair, we have 14 bikes in our house, but they all have a purpose, not collecting bikes just because.

What I care about is what we do with our bikes.

My criticism stems from what we often see is feature on bike "XYZ" of pro "ABC" at "MNO" race. It's just a bike.

The more interesting thing is hearing what the pro did with that bike at a race, or in training. For example, Cam Wurf came on this forum and told us about some workout power number he logs and he compared them to what he used to do while rowing. I found that fascinating. I really don't care about his Pinarello. I don't care about Frodo''s Canyon, I care about how on earth Frodo executed his Frankfurt race to pull out a 2:39 marathon after he got off his Canyon!

So in the vein, I care less about which bike an age grouper has. If it is a pictorial essay, let's see some cool picture of where we all have ridden our bikes in training. I think this would be interesting. I love seeing the environment that people are training in and using their bikes for
