Is Impact of bike weight on hilly IM courses something that can be modelled in BBS

Interested in the impact bike weight can have in total time bike split for the hillier ironman courses.

Is that something that can be accurately modelled in Best Bike Split so I can know the estimated differences between bike split total time comparing bikes with different weights in hillier ironman courses? Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can. In the Time Analysis tab you can make adjustments to the weight.

yes both the bike weight and rider weight (the latter being the more relevant since you can gain/lose a lot more than your bike weight)

You can use the weight adjust tool in time analysis as suggested above or you can set up another bike profile. This is beneficial if you are looking at bike with very different aerodynamics (ie, tt vs road) and since you can have separate cda estimates.

Don’t forget to also include weight of water bottles, shoes, flat kit, etc when using BBS.

One can even ask about wheel weight and aerodynamics of different wheels. Flo has already done this.

or you can use this: https://2peak.com/advantage-meter/ free tool and see realtime the trade off in between weight- and aero-savings losses.
