Somebody posted a thread a few months ago about parsing out the team member contributions for an Oly—do you split it evenly, based on time spent competing, or some other split?

This really gets exacerbated with a full race. If you split $925 evenly between the three segments, you have a swimmer paying $308. You have a runner paying more than the most expensive marathon (NYC) to run largely on off-season walking paths. Even if the cyclist agreed to pay $500, it still seems like a poor value.

Granted, this probably is CAD, so the hit to Americans isn’t so bad. But still...
